Sonoma Valley Health Care Coalition is having a party and you’re invited

The Sonoma Valley Health Care Coalition is having a party and you’re invited.

WHEN:  Sunday, June 3 (that’s THIS Sunday)
TIME:    12 – 4 PM
WHERE:  On the Plaza
WHY:  Because our work is done!

The Coalition issued it’s final report, made it’s presentation to the Board and is having copies of the report prepared to go out with both papers soon, so it’s time to celebrate! (whether you like the outcome or not — it’s done and we’re celebrating!)

We’ve decided to celebrate in conjunction with the OX ROAST on the Plaza on Sunday.  There will be Food, Drink, Music nearby — and we couldn’t have done a better job organizing such a celebration.

We’re all meeting on the SouthWest corner of the Plaza, just south of the new Duckie Pond.  It’s a do-it-yourself pot luck with the main course being OX, (slabs of ox or ox sausages, and maybe even a vegetarian option) courtesy of the OxRoast!

You can purchase the various Ox Plates to support the Community Center, but let’s jazz it up by bringing something that you might like to share with others, food or drink-wise.

I think  that in this part of the Plaza there aren’t any tables, so bring your most fun picnic blanket or quilt, a some dinnerware and  eatin’ and drinkin’-ware might be nice, in case you decide to partake of someone’s pot luck dish — there might be some fancy desserts, any closet pastry chefs out there?  With all day Saturday and most of Sunday to make some great dishes, there might be some good food to supplement the OxRoast fare.

Bring your significant other, children, grandchildren, even great-aunt bessie, if she’s in town and make this our last fling to say goodbye to the weekly Monday meetings and celebrate the work we’ve done together.

If you feel like kicking it up a notch and bringing your frisbee or other urban toys, why not?!

So, that’s the best we can do for this fond farewell get together.  Plan to be there Sunday, June 3 between 12 and 4, though the OxRoast goes from 11-5 with music all day and  the best music (in my opinion) coming from 3 – 5 Gator Beat will be playing on the main stage.

Save me some of the Fancy Desserts and Good Wines, I’ll be coming from my Sunday Marin Farmer’s Market, and won’t get there til 3-ish!  Too Bad!

No need to RSVP… Just show up with your party pot luck dish and blanket or quilt — you’ll fit right in!
