Run 7:30 am 3k-10k Kenwood Footrace
Watch 10:00 am Kenwood Hometown Parade Plaza Park
Play Post Parade Awards, Talent Show, Music, Food & Fun in the Park

We are proud to announce our 2008 Grand Marshals are Ann and Alec Peters of the Kenwood Press.

The Kenwood Hometown Parade participants will have a new route this year so bring your chairs and picnic blankets and sit on the square perimeter of Plaza Park for the best seat in the house!

We encourage you to arrive early, have breakfast at the Kenwood Community Church, located right on the Parade Route, and watch the runners cross the finish line on Warm Springs Road.

Anyone can enter! We love floats and marching bands and a unicycle or two are more than welcome! The more creative the better!

  • Fire Engines
  • Kids
  • Classic Cars, Trucks & Tractors
  • Plus a special “Judges Choice Best of Show” award!

2008 Kenwood Hometown Parade Judges:

  • Jim McCray – County Parks Department
  • Barbara Londerville – Oakmont resident and Benefactor of Wine Country Youth Baseball
  • Carolee Fagent – Kenwood School 5th Grade Teacher
  • Mike O’Donnell – Kenwood Community member and President Kenwood Soccer Club

Please Note: If you are entering the parade with something that is motorized such as a classic car or golf cart, has teeth like a dog, or is bovine in nature or size, you must provide proof of liability insurance – no exceptions. See application for complete details.

The organizers reserve the right to deny any entry that is not in the spirit of celebrating America’s Independence.

Kenwood 4th of July Parade, Kenwood, California

Parking on Kenwood streets is allowed. However, please be kind to neighbors and do not park on their property or block their driveways. It is important to drive slowly watching for children and families as they walk to and from the parade route.

As you can imagine, litter can be an issue with our community. Please be sure to put your garbage in the recepticals or take it with you when you leave.
